European Electric Steelmaking Conference

Florian Opitz joined European Electric Steelmaking Conference in Venice, Italy

DENE member Florian Opitz took part in the 11th European Electric Steelmaking Conference (EEC) in Venice, Italy. The conference was hold from May, 25th to May, 27th in a former Benedictine monastery located on the small island San Giorgio Maggiore. EEC conference was organized in 18 sessions, for example dealing with 'Innovation & Future Trends', 'Process Control' or 'Operational Results'. Florian presented the paper 'Physics-Based Modeling of the Electric Arc Furnace Process Using Object-Oriented Language Modelica' (together with Peter Treffinger, Jürgen Wöllenstein and Ralf Schweikle) in the session 'Modelling II'.
